I've sent a mail to myself through the Share Thread Form, and I could write all what I want in the Message box. It took one minute to finally send it. Can't imagine the server load this thing have done, but it's a great way to DDOS a forum.
I imagine this is the same as in 1.8 and should be reported as a bug on the community forums. It doesn't have to do with the theme itself.
