This board is running MyBB 1.9. The theme is not compatible with 1.8.
You have to wait for MyBB 1.9 to be released. There is not a set date for MyBB 1.9's release. It will be released when it is ready.

MyBB 1.9 is not available for download. The source code is available on GitHub, provided that you know what to do with it.
1.9 is under development and is not stable. It can not be used on a live board. It has numerous bugs that make it impossible to use on a live board.
